The Mo’o – Wormhole & Sapience

Hawaii is doing it up! I really do feel that these cats get overlooked.  I for one love the typical boom bap, but really heart Hip-Hop that is progressive and challenges the “formula”.  It reminds  me of when Ghesol and i did, “Cold Teeth” and when OmegaCix joined in on “Cloud City”.  There was no typical 8 bar chorus and 16 bar verse.  So check out www.newcocoon.com and download the music and show some love to Hawaii Hip-hop.  Big ups to Wormhole and Sapience (reppin’ up in the NW)

LS Dripography

We are releasing a new but some what familiar design this weekend at the North Shore show.  I call it the LS Dripography, the creator is Matt Yee a.k.a. Evil Genius. He took the almost iconic LS Drip, done by KOAK, and added some unlikely flavor to it.  It was originally made just for the Beatroot flyer, but i knew i had to do something with the revamp!  I hope you too can find joy in this shirt! Haleiwa Art Walk

Big ups to Nick Welles, a North Shore designer, shaper, and curator of Circus Gallery in Haleiwa.  He reached out to me to give the NS a Hip-hop feel.  I love the north shore, i used to body board Log Cabins and the Ehukai Sand bar.  Longboard, Pu’ena Point and Chun’s.  So we packing up the Scion, with 2 new shirt designs, dope Hip-hop, and a sick art and mc line up.  I know for a fact that you want a change of pace so come out to the North Shore, according to braddah Nick, this is the North Shores = First Friday.  See you Saturday!

Soulgasm

With all the hype on ABDC, the real heads has been doing it up on the floor.  Soulgasm is all about dancing.  With Bumble Bee on the wheels and guest DJ AC Lewis it will be a good body rocking time.

Architechs 10th

Happy Birthday to the Architechs – Delve, XL, & Blaise.  They been organizing dat good party for over 10 years. They also were involved in bringing Hawaii some dope Hip-hop acts through out the years.  We all came up together and went our separate ways, but it always seems like old times when we get a chance to chop it up.  Respect the Architechs!

Sentric 2000xl & 500

Yo Sentric is here for a few more days and he will be breaking down his theories on the MPC 2000xl and MPC500.  Sen, is a real student and he now gets to be the teacher flexing some new beats and his process of choppin’ it up.  Its a free event so come on thru and kick it.  Big ups to Peter at EMC.  Easy.
