BODEGA!

Yes indeed! Its back with vengeance, pending another tsunami -whoa! Looking for vendors and sponsors for the event. Peeps selling records will have precedence over other companies, but there should be enuff space for us all.  Last BRB, i think everyone made at least  2x their vendor fee.  It was super chill and fun.  Yes its FREE! I hope to sell all the vendor/sponsorship spots so you can come and no stress. Its Hawaii and our vinyl community is small so in order to build, FREE is always good.  Please hit me up with any questions, vendor,  & sponsor stuff!  Blessings.

Heros-pt.4

Sunday of Comic Con i ditched and went skating and diggin’!  Skated a few SD parks, but only got pictures of one…

This park was about 5 minutes from our hotel and by far the illest!

I have so many pictures but this one gives you only 1/4th of the layout. Euro gaps, mellow hips, chill rails, a pool, bowls that you can blast lines, a easy manny pad, 2 kickers that you can try ish on…

After skating i went digging, the main spot was www.accesshiphop.com I came up hard on 7″, 12″, LPs, and some CDS, to see a shop that carried all the dopest instrumental, underground hip-hop, abstract, experimental, and all that jazz, reminds me i need to open the shop already!

Hawaii, mexican food sucks compared to the mainland.  Harsh words i know, but when you can buy a huge plate of food for $7.00 and the same plate would be $14.00 and not as good, my opinion is valid!

Not the same day, but on Monday i got to skate the Girl/Chocolate/4star warehouse! Big upst JordyClot! i also got blessd with some goods, Blessed!

I got a grip of photos but this is one of my all time favorites! I would love to get a album cover that looks like this!  Heros yall!

Jordan the man that made it happen for me! OG lightsleepers head and all around ripper on the urethane! Its crazy how you never know what young kid that you influence, skate with, hook up music, or just give props, will turn up to be.  His whole family is talented.  Much Mahalo to Jordan!…

www.modernshark.com, is the new record label from Lightsleepers homies Baje One & Snafu! Good to see the homies on that indy hustle. After working with Def Jux and Embedded, Junk Science is taking it solo mission. Make sure you download all the free muzak and support their new release, “A miraculous kind of machine”. Ghesol & Shannon -”Money”

If i had an extra $1500 to fly to Thailand to watch Ghesol perform i would, i would!  But thanks to Woes and a little sarcasm on my part we got a some footy of the lyrical carnage.  Make sure you cop that “Chin Music” at your local rccord store.

The Mo’o – Wormhole & Sapience

Hawaii is doing it up! I really do feel that these cats get overlooked.  I for one love the typical boom bap, but really heart Hip-Hop that is progressive and challenges the “formula”.  It reminds  me of when Ghesol and i did, “Cold Teeth” and when OmegaCix joined in on “Cloud City”.  There was no typical 8 bar chorus and 16 bar verse.  So check out www.newcocoon.com and download the music and show some love to Hawaii Hip-hop.  Big ups to Wormhole and Sapience (reppin’ up in the NW)
